It seems odd that the Government would fly a drug runner up to the trial and put him up in a hotel just to prove that. If they were better shots they would have had nothing to lie about.

They lied about the circumstances and planted evidence is what I understood.

The government found and granted immunity to the drug runner to testify. I suspect much of it was he said/he said.

I think the reason Bush didn't pardon them is tied up with his views on illegal immigration.
