The Governor walked in during the interview. She said, at least three times, something along the lines of "well, it was a surprise, a big surprise..." I got the distinct impression that although the Governor was pleased to have a grandbaby, she was not real pleased with the circumstances.

I keep falling on the side of inappropriate also. I also fall on the side of who cares. It's already a done deal so whether she was taking birth control or not is really rather a moot point.

I'm not sure I look at this without some bias since my 16 going on 17 year old daughter got pregnant on the pill and produced my first grandson who is now going on 6. I had some friends say well gee, didn't you have her on the pill. At the time I bristled a bit at that question.

And for anyone that doesn't know Jenny married Mike a few years after that and followed up with a daughter who is going on 3 I believe and they have an 1800 square foot house they built and moved into a bit more then a year ago and farm along with his father so all worked out in the end.
