Until the history is actually written... Its already partially written, more than usual at this early stage of a presidency. The stimulus bill increases spending for years. The existing entitlement spending is destined to increase. There is no way Obama is going to be among the best in an updated display a few years from now, and he is likely to be the worst (at least for a first term, if he gets a 2nd term and becomes a deficit hawk things could look a little better, but I doubt that will happen).
