My favorite dark green leafy vegetable is Swiss chard.

I don't think I've ever had it. I keep meaning to give it a try. On your recommendation, maybe now I will.

I'm fortunate to live near one of the best fish markets in the world

Do they sell fresh seaweed? I've been trying to find that without success. I'm relegated to the dehydrated version. I just nuked a cup of chicken broth and wakame to take the chill off. I'm lazy and that's an easy way to get a green vegetable.

I steam a copious amount of it with other low-calorie vegetables like tomatoes, mushrooms, or asparagus, plus small amounts of starchier ones like onions, carrots, yams or squash.

I typically throw my veggies in a hot oven and roast them with a spritz of olive oil. Don't know how well that would work with Swiss chard or other leafies but it does wonders for the rest of those on your list. Roasting seems to me to give them more taste. Don't know about the relative nutritive values between steaming and roasting, though.
