Excellent article regarding how to approach. It wont be easy but if we could do containment and deterrence with stalin, we certainly can do the same here. If we could do peaceful coexistance with the USSR, we certainly can do the same here. Interesting part is the role of Israel/Pal issue. If Iran military assistance is removed in overall settlement between israel and hamas/fatah and lebanon/hizbo, the israeli version of the neocon argument will become moot. Obama will move slowly because thats his nature and he has some convincing to do here among evangys as well as assuaging the legit fears of american jews. I think he can do that. Iran can become a pillar for stablity in the mideast as Turkey has and perhaps how some of the arab states may become with strangely enough iraq one day assuming role of leader here too.
