les, agreed. the problem is "better than bush" doesn't give you much intrinsic value as bush had exactly no intrinsic value.

we need "better than bush," but i don't think we have it.

that is, unless obama can start exporting his speeches.

Obama's in the middle of a huge learning curve right now. The lack of executive experience is causing him to defer to folks like Pelosi, Reid, Summers, and Rahm, and the results have been pretty mixed to say the least.

I think within 6-months there's going to be a shake-up in the administration, and I don't see Rahm lasting very long.

I think we're seeing why very few sitting senators with no executive experience have made the transition to the oval office in the past 100-years. JFK and Warren G. Harding are the only ones that have done this, and neither completed a full term in office.
