If there IS a future.. I heard recently that Switzerland may be bankrupt because they lent too much to the Eastern Europeans. This little faux pas by a few thousand bankers in the U.S. and Europe may speed up the transfer of power from the West to the East. Maybe Democracy is only good if the electorate is reasonably bright and educated. But that's very difficult to achieve in a democracy since every candidate is more worried about winning than "educating".
