Michael I don't mean "let them eat cake". There are unemployment benefits for those who have been laid off. But I don't believe you put in place a massive government-run health care program for them. Because there is no end to it. I'm not sure why it isn't clear to everyone that Medicare, Medicaid, and SS are dragging the country down, and the more entitlements you pile on the less chance we have of the democracy surviving. Obama made it clear when he said health care ought to be right. The cold, hard reality is that if health care is a "right" we either have to vastly cut the quality of health care in this country or stand by and watch it go broke. There is no third option.
