Greenspan deserves blame, but there is a lot of blame to go around, I wouldn't put it on any one person, institution, or idea.

Oh I don't. I place blame also on those in power at the time. That would be President Bush and the republican led congress.

I'm a fiscal conservative Tim. I voted for Reagan because I thought he was too. Unfortunately while he started out as a fiscal conservative, he lost his way. Then I thought the first Bush was a conservative as he called the games politicians "voodoo economics". And then I expected the deficit to soar when Clinton became president - BUT IT DIDN'T. By the time of the second Bush presidency, I was convinced that the republicans no longer held fiscal conservatism as a value - and Bush didn't fail to prove me correct. At some point Tim, if you get hit over the head enough times with facts - they eventually become self evident.
