Only to the extent they actually caused it.

No Tim. It doesn't work that way. If a plant manufacturer on the assembly line screws up and makes a faulty part - it is the people at top that get the blame. Its called ......."the buck stops here". Those that accept that the buck stops here are real men and real leaders. Those who are always trying to place the blame on someone else are scum bags. Weak little meek people that have no business leading.

For the housing mess the buck stops at Greenspans feet and the feet of Bush. Because they were the leaders. And I use that term with huge generosity for those two. They could have prevented the mess we are now in - if they had been real leaders of vision. They failed. They didn't control the people under them; the bankers, mortgage lenders, and all the rest of those who must follow the law. There was in essence ......no law. Now they can stand up like men and say the buck stops here - or they can pretend it is always someones fault - anyone but theirs. I have no respect for people like that - none. And they are certainly not deserving of the title leader.
