Well I tried to explain that to you. That there were years that Reagan could do anything he wanted because of the coalition with the southern democrats - like Gramm. Gramm is as 'democrat like' as Rush Limbaugh, but if you want to attribute the Reagan years to democrats, I guess I can accept that. But, you don't get the Bush years! Those are republicans and it is those years that did the real damage. Let me restate; Senator Gramm is often offered up as the real reason behind the housing melt down. Time has him listed number 1!!!! From Wikepedia;

If you and I could sit in a bar over some whiskey, I think we would agree on a lot of issues. But I have been around a long time and the republicans screwed our country during the Bush tenure. They've had their chance - I'm ready to try something different.
