Joe: Maybe we're disagreeing about semantics. they did and were the best team in the AL WHEN IT COUNTED!! I agree with that statement. All I'm saying is if I were betting on a team that would have the best record for a 162 games (the overall best team) for a season, not for a two week stint, I'd bet on the Braves. I don't think anyone can hang with their pitching staff over the long run. But as you rightly said, right now, Cleveland is currently the best team in the AL, as everyone else is playing golf. (Given the temperature in Cleveland, some of them might want to be playing golf also.) ;) And with you I say, Go Tribe! KMT P.S. Reggie Jackson was a decent baseball player. Like you say though, when it counted, there aren't many better than Mr. October. Do you think Sandy Alomar could be the knew Mr. October. It's time for him to run for Mayor of Cleveland.
