I am not a baseball fan. But because I like the author so much, I am reading and enjoying the book, "Moneyball." It's the story of the introduction of new stats into pro baseball over the last 30 years. And how difficult it has been to get the people running the business to listen.

As I read it, I realize that the same mentality and traditions are what is holding back change in Cardiology. And in every other field of expertise. Just human nature.
