I heard yesterday that murdoch is furious over this and the head of the post is likely to lose his job.. This, I don't doubt. Murdoch is in business. He pays people to think about how a bunch of left-wing fanatics and black racists might misinterpret something like a cartoon. It obviously never crossed the cartoonist's mind that some racists would impute a racial meaning to the cartoon. But Murdoch does pay these editors to be clairvoyant.
