To all:

Does anyone know about Apple's strategy for the Newton/eMate?
I had heard that the Message Pad would be dropped, and the eMate
made more powerful.
I guess my question is, how do they plan to make money on these products?

Thanks
Sanjay Varma

A gentleman's bet it is, Ed. I'm putting my money where my words are by buying shares. If Apple gives the stores a machine that will sell (due to price/performance and a good ad campaign) and increases the spiff to salespeople, you'd be surprised how well they will sell.

Apple's costs are so much more in line now that they don't have to sell many more units to make money.
