Took the day off and went for a couple of mile hike with my dog on Honeymoon Island (Gulf) this morning, the Osprey trail. Here's a pic... just too bad there isn't an oil platform in the background to make the view really perfect. (taken with iPhone)

The folks at Tesla Motors didn't know much about car building. Instead, they knew alot about electronics and they decided to take on the car industry. So far they are the only production electric car on the road in the US. If renewables are the future, you need leaders who understand the future. Oil will continue to be with us for a long time to come, but it will eventually not be our primary energy source for cars. We are already seeing the industry evolving away from oil.
