when you creep out of depression, you never really never know what worked or what didnt. All i know is that a govt doing nothing will turn sullys plane that landed in the Hudson into the one that crashed in buffalo. You just cant do nothing.

Ten, Its not your fault that this happened. It was a combonation of greed and dereg that destroyed the capitalist model that worked so well. Once fixed, we can back to that model again sans the crap mentioned above that we both agree was wrong. Sure the left gloats a bit because some of what they say turned out to be right. But at the end of the day when things return to normal, so does the normal rational debate and you have good arguments to make. But for now you gotta give up the ghost that things will self correct. They wont and thats not an ideological argument, just a statement of common sense.
