Michael, I guess there's no sense in taking a nuanced position on this thread. (And by "nuanced," I mean the real dictionary definition of the word, not what liberals think it means.)

I agree that the government can do something if done right. I don't agree that doing something is better than doing nothing, since it is so easy to make things worse by "doing something," especially with the current crop of bozos in Congress.

I think Obama means well, but he's just providing celebrity status to the Democrats' rush to do things. I don't expect him to reign in those who need to be. In fact, I think he's less in control of his own destiny than most believe on both sides of the fence.

As for the regulars on this thread, they are so focused on winning a pissing match that they won't listen to what I have to say. I noticed you're being pulled into that mentality as well. All to avoid defending recklessness with regard to government intervention.
