I reword you classic joke.

Q - Why did the gum cross the road?

A - Because it was stuck to the Goose's foot.

An embedded grain of sand eh? Uh-huh. Well look closer, you can see that the embedded grain of sand is a perfect octahedron of perovskite-structure carbon. In short, pure unalloyed, very, very slightly imperfect diamond. It was my strategy and intent to cross the road. Against the herd. Contrary to popular wisdom. By exposing my sticky side to the chicken when it sat down, I achieved my goal and thus the realization of the cogitation and dream-states of a wise and inquiring mind that over decades has doggedly adhered to the basic principles of market investment and accrual of value, of which by this time I have totally forgotten. But I am sure the portfolio must be organized along those lines somehow, from force of habit cast indestructibly as channels in ignorant veins, still running true long after the memories and skills have faded, making me continue to have unshakable faith in the reflexes that impel me buy carloads of paper when the news comes out.
