If they were floating that (Nationalization) as a trial balloon, it's fair to say that it crashed like a Lead Zeppelin.....

I think if they nationalized the troubled banks the stock market would take off like a scaled dog, at least for a few days. The uncertainty is providing nothing except continuous bloodletting.

Shutting down the bad banks and implementing Buiter's plan might generate a more lasting rally.
