Corian hmmm... well after looking at the material sheets for it, it does seem that it is impervious to mineral oils and most stuff (so DuPont claims anyway). After inspecting the nut, that could very well be what it is made from. It has a hard sound to it so that would make a lot of sense. To tell the truth when I saw white stuff, I assumed plastic and didn't think it through. Clearly for guitars, something hard and mineral-like that is dimensionally stable would be good.
