Steve, two things pop out in Obama's statement: - He wants to cut the deficit in half, but he's starting with a deficit of $1.33 trillion. Even the deficit under Bush never went above half a trillion except in his final year in office. - The Iraq War currently represents 10% of the deficit. Even if Obama completely pulled out tomorrow (which he won't do despite his anti-war rhetoric), it would not make much of a dent in the deficit. - Besides, Obama is already increasing government by leaps and bounds, more so than Bush. We'll all be paying for it very soon, not just those making $250K or more. Tenchusatsu

Relax, Steve...and enjoy: Guts vs. Balls There is a linguistic distinction (not just an anatomical distinction.) We've all heard about people having guts or balls, but do you really know the difference between them? In an effort to keep you informed, and to alleviate further confusion, the following definitions are listed below: GUTS - Is arriving home late after a night out with the guys, being met by your wife with a broom, and having the guts to ask: 'Are you still cleaning, or are you flying off to somewhere?' BALLS - Is coming home late after a night out with the guys, smelling of perfume and beer, lipstick on your collar, slapping your wife on the butt and having the balls to say: 'You're next, Chubby.' I hope this clears up any confusion on the definitions. Medically speaking, there is no difference in the outcome, since both ultimately result in death.
