N Ont 3 bedroom bungalow 1200 sq ft , if interest rates go back up to 15 + % today there would be a flood of houses all over N America going up for sale

Then 1 would see a crisis in N America and gold $3000 + in a heart beat

Elliot Lake in Ontario, after the high grade U discoveries in Saskatchewan shut down the Elliot mines. 3 bedroom houses with full basement, never lived in before, in brand new paved subdivisions, 8 to 10K, and not many buyers.

Then they marketed to Toronto retirees, "sell your Toronto house, buy one in Elliot Lake, and one in Florida, and lots of $ left over for plane fare back and forth in the spring and fall."
