It is sad that Rs have jumped on the nationalization bandwagon.

We (as a country) have experience with this before. RTC and FDIC have cleaned up serious banking problems in the past, and it was relatively straightforward.

There is no reason something akin to Resolution Trust couldn't be set up now to deal with these banking problems while keeping a wall between that entity and the government.

If they allow Obama to get his hands on the banking system he's not going to let go easily.

Sure. But no one is talking about planned economies. It isn't the natural state that occurs if you prevent economic power concentration.
