Ted, if the lender deceived them, let the borrowers sue them in court. Lots of law firms willing to represent these borrowers. They didn't deceive....they just didn't tell them about it. I repeat: I do not support paying the mortgages of the naive or even the deceived. I chose to manage my finances responsibly. Part of that is discipline, and part of that is good fortune to have good advice at the time of my first home purchase. Good. We'll give you a gold star for being a good boy. BTW how much money did your folks give you for your first condo or house? You want to punish me for doing just that while rewarding those who were reckless or naive. Hugo Chavez, Raul Castro, and Kim Jong-Il would be proud of you. What is wrong with reducing the interest rate on loans where the people can make it at 4.5%? Remember what your Savior preached.
