He and some of the others are a product of 'group think'. 'Group Think' is a phenomenon where you identify with a group because of some positive or very strong impact the group had on you some time back. The group affiliation, usually established at a young age, has more value than any other construct, including in some cases the founding principles of the group...which allows people to justify for themselves some pretty aberrant behavior. So, no matter how absurd some member of the group behaves or how pathetic an idea is, it is supported rather than risk loss of affiliation. From that perspective it is easy to understand the conduct of IKant, SeachRE, Geode00, AS, and Sheppard. It's a group thing, no topic or issue has importance beyond that ... and there is no limit to the silliness, corruption, or perversion these guys will sink to in order to maintain their affiliation. I wont say its typical of left wing because there are plenty of people on the left who would find their conduct to be abhorrent, but maybe they comprise a radical left fringe all their own.
