Are you into the insanity that is Nexium???
i consider it o so typical scandal of the FDA and Pharma companies playing footsies for many decades..
But my gawd the PATIENTS not only they pay for it, they will DEMAND it from their Doctor!!
My doctor has told me he had to prescribe to a couple of patients because they were angry he was witholding that "miraculous purple pill" from them.
He just like says "0.K. it's your money but Pepcid is just as good."

Now let's get to the corruption.
Astrazeneca was about to lose its cash cow Pepcid, it was going to generic and OTC.
So they did the oldest Pharma scam in the book they produced an isomer to pepcid(mirror image--i this case they might have just sliced the Pepcid molecular structure in half)).
Did their OWN study, and stated WOW Nexium was given a 2% higher effectiveness rating---IOWs fudgeable, within the margin of error number.
Pepcid(or whatever generic name is used for Pepcid) cost in area of only 1/4 or 1/5 the cost of NEXIUM.
The guilt rests with FDA, Astrazeneca, and any doctor that prescribes Nexium for kick back fee and the public idiocy to believe the hype of the advertisments.

But the "isomer" gimmick is one the oldest scams in Pharma, and the FDA , via power of lobbyist the FDA looks the other way.

o i will add simethicone to your aspirin, as one that really really works, and has for ages, and it is cheap.:)Max
