Gov. Jindal is correct and so is Tim.

Jindal is correct in that if he complies with the requirements to accept these funds he will be committed to increased taxes in future years for his state's employers.

Tim is right in that once you set up a government giveaway it is almost impossible to undo the damage. Medicare, SS, Unemployment insurance, Medicaid -- all examples. They grow without bound because it is politically impossible to scale them back or eliminate them.

The only person who is wrong, as usual, is you.

It wouldn't directly require permanent change, but that would be the likely effective result.

It would require a change, that would likely be permanent (at least as much as political decisions can be said to be permanent)
