The economy is bigger than the titanic. The time for decisive action was years ago, when everyone was still in deep denial and laughing at the few who could see the obvious. That was the time for the government to stop all the stupidity of the financial companies, and the ratings agencies. All we can do now is what congress, the fed, and the SEC did when the time to act was upon them...nothing.
