RE: Blind Faith

First Off Rod has sold just days before a big rise several times, so his attempts to ride the volatility have been fair at best (lousy is more accurate). You can go back many months and track his sells if you wish.

As for a lot of us, we were clearly correct when we saw the value of BORL at 6. At that time, you were very certain of your self that BORL would see new lows. The first debate you and I hade was centered around this discussion (when BORL was in the 6's). This moron is quite content to have holdings that are up 70% in 9 mos. I must say, after several years of mediocre performance, my portfolio has swelled in 1997. Largely because of my stupidity in buying and holding BORL. Hope I am even more of an idiot in 1998.

If you check my profile, you will see that my favorite quote is cut to order for me.

Leo, the only money you've made of late is selling bug spray to your scouts on one of forays into yellowstone park.
I, on the other hand, got into Borland in the 6's through naked puts and long calls (Jan 7.5's) I bought in based on the information on this thread. Like in all threads, an alert observer quickly gets to know the players, naysayers, shorts, longs, etc. As a Vice-President of a large bank-owned investment firm, I tell my clients that tools such as SI have become essential in formulating a complete investment decision.
Thank you all for having helped me realize a return of about 60% on Borl. I expect to make much more.
Leo, I agree that there are morons here like on all threads. Given the fact that I probably pay more in tax in a quarter than you gross in a year, I would hardly agree with your assessment that I am what you have described. As to having fun, the 90's have been a blast to anyone working on Wall Street, certainly more fun than getting munched on by mosquitos.
Have a great trading Day!!!!
