I feel bad for you - My Mom had that years ago..very painful..all they had then was a Setz(sp) Bath to relieve the pain. Good Luck....Paul

There is a vaccine, and yes if you've got Shingles it's too late.

Zovirax is expensive but works well to fight the virus back.

Eating a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables is also proven to help prevent the outbreaks -
