Horgad, I do not think the Fed is an evil organization with the goal of increasing their power. I believe they are a tool of the banks and the government to facilitate economic growth via a unspoken policy of forever inflation. If they blow up the system, they don't gain anything. At this stage I think their goal is to find a way out, but the true path out is much too painful, so we will get a lot of bullshit about "responsibility" while they try to inflate out of this mess. I'm just not as focused on conspiracy. I think we are where we are because of simple greed. There was no plan and there is no plan. Now it is just a matter to plug the dike and hope they can someday turn it around. GT TH
