(To me, raising salaries means no imminent bankruptcy.)

To me, it means that the execs are getting whatever money they can get before hitting the street for a new job. If they can find one.

If they really had any confidence that they could turn the company around, they'd be giving themselves millions of stock options at 0.10, vesting in 3 years.
