Well we all know that Gore and company profit from this. That is the reason the consensus is in and the debate is over. It's time to transfer some serious wealth in Gore's direction.

I actually think that much of our liberal politics is rooted in self loathing that is based in a self aggrandized, self important, arrogance. We are so powerful that we can change the climate we are so powerful that we are causing all of the starving children in Africa We are so powerful that we forced the radical muslims to eschew basic human rights toward their own people Since we are so powerful, all of the world's woes must be our fault. So we are going to throw some money in the direction of some of these perceived problems so we don't feel so guilty while we sip our glass of merlot....or shiraz as it may be. guess what folks, the minute you were born you started to have an impact on the world. You are going to leave footprints, just like the deer do on the game trails that they make over generations, just like the beavers do when they build a dam. Cut the existentialist crap and accept that it's ok to be alive and it's ok to be comfortable and it's ok to let other people take responsibility for their lives and it's ok to accept that there are things far more powerful than we can ever dream of being. When we can control sunspot activity, that's when we can control climate change.
