Inode, > But with all the 6/5 games, it is hardly worth the effort anymore (you can still find some decent games off-strip in Vegas, but it is getting tougher every month).

Ever consider Reno and Carson City? They have SD that pays 1.5 on BJ and even allows mid-shoe (or mid-deck) entry.

> Yeah, we watched it. There were rumors for years that Kenny Uston had sold his story for a movie, but it had never made it to the screen, so I thought this knockoff of the MIT team story might be interesting. It was at least as bogus as I figured it would be.

One of the things that got to me early in the movie was the notion that the main character would never be able to afford Harvard med school. Yeah right. There are literally hundreds of lenders out there willing to give a Harvard med school student generous terms for a college loan. The reputation of going to Harvard itself is enough security for a lender.

Then there's the strategy the MIT team used, which had the new guy act as the high roller hopping tables. Wouldn't you normally have the best actor play that role and not necessarily the best counter? In fact, shouldn't the best counters be the ones giving the signals to the high roller?
