Yes they do. We still have an A&W in town here. Still good burgers and the root beer of course is wonderful.

I remember them too! There was an A&W stand next to a rental house that my parents owned and we always went for a root beer after working at the house. The small mug cost 5 cents and the big one was 10. A float was 25 cents.

Those were the days.

I knew A&W was in trouble in the 70s when we stopped at a stand to order hamburgers. After a half hour the waitress still hadn't come to take our order, so we left.

You got the grub, Ken!

I remember my favorite A&W Stand having three incredible burgers -- Mama Burger, Papa Burger and Teen Burger. I always ordered the Teen Burger, which included bacon and cheese among its wonderful ingredients.

They also had an incredible hamburger, as I recall.
