"think different" [...] is the most [...] arrogant piece of garbage [...] ever foisted on to the general public.

I don't know about the superlatives, but I certainly find the think different campaign to be arrogant.

The subtext of the ad is:

There is nothing wrong with our overpriced computers, flaming laptops, or failed OS upgrade path (Copland, Gershwin anyone?). No, the problem is that you are not smart enough to buy Apple.

The "think different" add has Steve Jobs written all over. It does not speak to corporate america, or even average Joe user. It speaks to "The World as Steve would like it to be"(TM).
