There is no comaprison as far as I am concerend to the sis chipset. like all chipsets it has it's little quirks. This one doesn't like an old maxtor drive of mine (it won't recognize it, thinks it's dead), but that's easy to fix. Just tell it the drive doesn't exist and use something like ez-drive.

(I needed an excuse to get rid of that drive anyway).
