A little word of advice, when you read something, focus on more than individual sentences. You learn more that way. "I never saw any instance where you explicitly advocate bailing out GM," Correct. The topic of discussion wasn't whether or not to bail out GM. Just that the consequences of their demise is more than just the immediate fallout. It makes the whole system more fragile. As near as I can tell, you had this whole parallel narrative going to what I had posted. Not sure how that happened. "Besides, it's harder to think of an entity that has "fewer hands" than the federal government." True. But, in a democracy, our votes give us a voice. Which is something we don't have in a corporation.
