Re --In Q3 AMD had a 24% increase in $ sales vs Q3 of '96.

AMD's flash sales actually declined sequentially, and there was some deal with Fujitsu. Also flash accounts for about 30% of AMD's revenue, so any decline in flash sales, can affect AMD significantly.

AMD's communication products group, which accounts for 30%., could have a further indirect impact.

Good question - but I don't know.

Intel doesn't break out any numbers.

Some analysts offer their "guesstimate", so I'll look around for those.
