(iv) i was inspired: the guy is draining his wife's a/c by buying gold, and then keeping the gold away from wife. astute, agile, and agreeable. (v) The guy passed to me two hand warmers, a ½ standard weight good delivery bar of pt for right hand, and same again of au for left hand. I wanted those from his recent acquisition because I had heretothen not owned any such ½ weight denominations. An interesting point of perception, that the pt feels more substantive, material, solid, and worthy than the gold. there is something zen about taking another bunch of cubic centimeters out of the 25 cubic meters of planetary platinum circulation. (vi) on dividend-free equities, yield-less real estate, and wasting bonds, i think they are all dying, badly hurt, whimpering or cowering, waiting for the hour of bid-less singularity moment - the juncture of recognition that the situation on hand, feet, and whole body to eyeballs, is airborne ebola. whether or not monetization can be in time for reprieve, afaiac, is an open question. the markets seem comfortable that all will work out OK, even though there is not a single white swan in sight. the disconnect is strange, and the street-level calm is unnerving. (vii) just an observation, your fellow countrymen residing on and passing through money rock hk seem to be in wild panic, about everything obama and his wastrel congress has done, is doing and will soon do. the fear is palpable. the culling will apparently soon start amongst the more productive of your countrymen and countrywomen. taxes will rise, outrageously and to outrageous heights, and benefits will dwindle, to nothingness. the obama-congress simultaneous equations will spare few, if any. Cheers, tj
