Cancer is a group of diseases. Its not a minor disease so don't dismiss it as meaningless. Its a valid measure. Socialized systems are quicker to write people off when treating them will cost money. Not doing so means more money spent on health care, but also better health care.

"Do you have one that, overall, says yes we have more effective care? Not one specific disease but overall?"

This is a copout of a question because you know damned well that a methodology can be developed that will show even a piss-poor health care state like Cuba to be great. It is what the Michael Moores of the world thrive on.

But yes, I can prove it.

Last week, a Saudi prince, who could have bought any hospital in the world, chose to come to the United States for treatment. There is only one reason that happens. Because he knows that in the end his odds of a good outcome in the United States are better than anywhere else on earth.

Case closed.
