Thats partly cause we count deaths at birth differently. Partly due to our racial/ethnic diversity. Counting deaths at birth differently makes a big difference.

We try to save a lot of babies they don't. And when we fail they count in our stats. They don't try as hard and they don't count stillbirths.

So is longevity. And we don't win that critical one.

It is well acknowledged by practically everyone in the medical community that "longevity" is NOT a measure of the quality of health care.
