The Benmobile seems to have blown a rod
And he was our finest mechanic

Improper lubrication is one of many reasons for a *blown rod* more common reasons seen at the track and on the street are over revving, inbalance, harmonic vibration, casting flaws, weak rod bolts, core shift in rod casting, seized wrist pin, broken crank...revving a sound motor should not hurt it when cold, not highly reccomended though.
