Obama has that old Reagan magic. He is a redux of the Great Communicator.

WOW!

Should I be surprised here? The author (and yourself) have just compared Obama to Hitler, David Koresh, Charles Manson, and on and on. This is from the thread that called the liberals narrow minded. WOW!

The article is completely hollow, filled with racist undertones, has no scientific evidence backing up his point of view.

I realize this is a conservative thread, but this?

There is a saying that Absolute power, corrupts absolutely. Based on that adage alone, I am cautious about anyone in power, and I think we need to maintain the checks and balances that our branches of govt afford us. How do you like it now that GWB took a power grab and Obama seems in no hurry to give it back? Many Americans were scared as hell when Bush did that, and now the shoe is on the other foot. I hope the Presidential expanded powers will be rescinded under Obama, but I am not holding my breath. Power doesn't usually willing give up power. That was a lot of foresight Bush Cheney showed. We have Bush/Cheney to thank for that. But to compare Obama to the people in that article is really beyond the pale, imo. His grandparents loved him well. You can bond with grandparents as well as parents. He was not lacking in love and guidance and support. He has a loving wife, and beautiful children. He had mentors and educators. Is he as altruistic as he would have people believe? I don't know. We'll have to see. Am I personally maintaining distance about our leaders intentions and motivations in Washington? YOU BETCHA! There is nothing in any of my previous posts to indicate otherwise. I can like Obama, and stay watchful.

What happened to pals around with terrorists, is muslim, and all the Palin garbage that she threw out there? Have we moved on to this narcissist theory now? Thank goodness John McCain rejected that during the campaign. It was his classiest moment in the campaign, in my opinion.

Did you think the same of GWB admirers? Were you worried they were becoming like young hitlerites? I remember all the fresh faced young republicans getting caught up in the moment during his election. Were they cult followers of GWB? Or just caught up a wave of patriotism for their guy and the future he would lead them into? It didn't work out to well for them. Let's hope Obama's followers aren't so disappointed and that they see the success in the leader they backed.

Yes. all people should have a healthy skepticism for their leaders in my opinion, lest we go along with another nut, but again, the hypocrisy here is amazing. Of course, I am staring to think its not hypocrisy, but something worse. I can't quite find the right words, so I'll leave it at that.
