They can divest the Cray Division if the takeover doens't pass the antitrust law, so it doesn't have to be an American Company.

Don,

HP/Convex is an American company. But I really don't think a merger or takeover is in the works. But if it were, I think HP has the most to gain in acquiring SGI. Also, think about the connections poor ol' Ed might still have from his days at HP.
