Fifteen years ago I bought my first PC. My mentor gave me advice at that time. "A computer should be like a waitress - no personallity." I for one am tired of having to learn quirks of each and every new computer and its program. Plug and play is a great concept, but it does not work. I am tired of buying games only to find I need to upgrade this or that.
Even if MS completely monopolizes the market for some number of years they cannot control the industry forever. The train barrons never completely took over transportation. There are start up airlines daily. New hardware stores come and go despite home base and Eagle home centers.
Janet Reno needs to find something else to play with for a while. Let free enterprize work. Milton Freeman says it will work. Lets give it a chance. IMHO
