Like the Dept of Education? Why do we have a Federal ED? Doesn't that rightfully belong to the States?

What good (and bad) does this Department do, and how many employees does it have?

I’d forgotten that this is the Department that Reagan wanted to eliminate from the Cabinet, but the Democrats wouldn’t hear of such a thing.
