Governments will be after cash wherever they can find it, nobody exempt for long ... actually the Alberta 'fair share' scheme could have been worse i thought, at least it's sliding-scale so companies aren't getting gouged into oblivion in down markets, it does take a lot off their topside though ... which will happen everywhere, and faster, especially in places where they subsidise crooked financial types instead of harvesting their hides for handbags

And that 'tar' pumps fine, cracks fine, once you cook it out of the ground and cut it with diluent ... it's oil, close enough, use 'energy' if you wish, but the thing with stp/aos is the stuff is at a price indistinguishable from 'free' ... they're takeover targets, all the good ground up there is staked and majors will need to replace reserves somehow
