So I'm happy that you are at least admitting the crap commercial health insurers do to their paying customers...

The vast majority of private insurers pay like clockwork with no problem. Yes, there are a few who drag their feet at times -- but those issues can be resolved.

You cannot fix the payment issues with Medicare and Medicaid, unless you rip them out by their roots. And frankly, those bureaucracies are far too big for that.

I will point out also that those which DO drag their feet do so as part of protecting their own revenue. For example, we have trouble with certain mental health claims and UHC, but in general it is because they are very demanding in insuring treatment plans are filed and followed. This is the same UHC that, a few years ago, removed their precert requirements because they were more trouble for providers than the value THEY received by requiring precerts.

It is a highly complex problem that you cannot encapsulate in a few paragraphs.

One thing is absolutely certain: The legislation that is being proposed and adopted under Obama is a disaster for the health care system. If you arbitrarily, without cause, lop off payments to providers, drug companies, facilities, and insurance companies, you guarantee a reduction in the quality of care.

If you cannot see that then there is no help.
